Finally a Christmas pyramid that is built beautifully! This pyramid arrived in perfect condition. The woodwork looks like quality craftmanship, painted with care and glued well. The only thing that I had to put together was what was in the video: the fan, place the candle holders and the cermanic holder for the metal center post. So happy to make this a family heirloom.

My husband grew up in a traditional German household. Each Christmas, his mother set up her pyramids and he loved them. I wanted to remind him of that happiness and decided to purchase one that was US made. This more than exceeded my expectations and is truly wonderful. It is incredibly well made with great detailing. Without the fan it stands just under 15" tall. It is large enough to be my island centerpiece. When lit, the blades turn smoothly. I do add a little bit of foil to each candeholder to ensure the candles fit tightly and are straight. He loves it! We will be purchasing more from this company.

I ordered another set of candles, slightly larger. The propeller still does not turn. The piece is pretty and looks a lot like the more expensive German made pyramids, but this clearly is a purely visual imitation. After the second set of candles failed to provide enough power, I realize that even twirling the propeller with my own fingers made it clear that this thing is not made with functionality in mind. There's no way the candles candles can make this propeller turn! the turntables and so on are too heavy. The hype says "German designed"--they simply replicated the look. There's a reason the German-made pyramids cost a lot more: they function as advertised. Save your money and buy something that can be a family heirloom with the magic of movement by candle. I'm very disappointed it, even though the thing looks pretty. I might just take it to Goodwill.

The ornament is beautiful but fragile. There are a couple of easy and cheap remedies to make it better.
First include the candles! How much money can be? is worth it to hike the price a little and include this.
Also include a little tube of glue, some of the ornaments felt during delivery, this is also a cheap solution and the customer will appreciate the detail.
Finally the wood piece with the ceramic where the spindle rotates should be made upside down. Let me explain, the ceramic piece should be on top and the wood piece also on top.
I do not know if the piece de-glue but I have to installed on top and then the ceramic is not in contact with the spindle, so my solution was to glue a penny on top and works!
For the price I recommend the toy!

This is a lovely piece and it's fun to watch the blades spin when the flames heat them HOWEVER, watch the candles carefully and don' tleave them unattended. We nearly burned ours down the first time we used it. The candle tilted in towards the wood and singed it. It would have started to burn if we hadn't caught it. Watch which way the candles are tilted and make sure they are secure in their holders.

Great construction. Mine arrived without the ceramic base needed to support the rotating sections. We tried to retrofit it, but it wouldn't turn. Pretty discouraged and then I emailed the seller--who replied within a few hours and then sent the missing piece the next day. Once it was all installed, the unit turns like it's on butter--even with only 2 candles lit. I only burn 3 candles at a time otherwise the Magi fly around the turn! Love it.

Bought this for my wife's birthday. Growing up her family always had one and she constantly loves talking about it over the Christmas season. It arrived on time and was an amazing surprise for her. She put it together and we were both disappointed to see one of the people in on the lower level was missing it's head. We looked around in the box and the packaging but could not find it. She sadly took it apart and I began repackaging it to send it back. Just as I was placing the pyramid back in the box the missing head found it's way out of being jammed under one of the rotating level, not sure how it was stuck in there. Glued the head back on and we are both happy with the look. We haven't had time to test it out yet but she is very excited for the Christmas season to put it on display.

Overall this is a nice German (likely Chinese made) Pyramid. We've wanted one for years and when we were in Austria a few years ago for the Christmas markets, regretted not purchasing one. This one is about what you would expect for the price. When it arrived, some of the figures had fallen off the carousel and needed to be glued again. But overall it looks very nice and functions as expected and so far Cousin Eddie hasn't knocked the blades off.
